Loud booming noises coming from inside the earth being heard worldwide, massive sinkholes swallowing buildings, houses, highways....trains derailing all over the world - WHAT IN EARTH IS IS HAPPENING TO THE EARTH??? DUNEDIN, Fla. — Residents of several Florida homes have been evacuated after a 70-foot-wide sinkhole opened up and swallowed parts of two houses, a tree and a boat. Dunedin Deputy Fire Chief Trip Barrs said the hole was only about 12 feet when officials arrived on the scene. Both of the homes above the 53-foot-deep hole will have to be demolished, The Tampa Bay Times reports. “Over and over again you just keep hearing, ‘boom, boom,’” said Janie Dupre, who lives in one of the houses.
