Prehistoric Civilizations Part 1

Mythological and Biblical Ages
The idea of AGES of time predating the present one is common to mythology and the Bible. As a rule mythologies are a collection of myths and legends of the exploits of certain renowned individuals or powerful groups that play a prominent role in past ages whereas the Bible provides a panoramic view of all ages including the future ones; but most of all the Bible is a detailed history of the present age that may be termed the Age of Man or the Age of Adam, the age which began about 6000 years ago in the Garden of Eden. Ancient writings such as the Hindu ‘Vedas’ make record that at least three ages have preceded the present age of time in which intelligent beings have inhabited not only this planet but other worlds also. Their claim that modern man is not the first intelligent inhabitant of Earth is a recurring theme in the myths and legends of all cultures, both in the old world and the new.
The Bible also speaks of ages of Time, it uses the Greek word ‘EON’, whose meaning will be discussed later, which indicates that periods of time have predated the age of modern man, the age of Adam. The Greeks gave names to four ages as did the Hindus in India. The first age termed the Golden Age by the Greeks was considered to be the best with each succeeding age getting progressively worse. The names of the four ages according to the Greeks are listed below with the names of the ages assigned by the Hindus in parentheses.
1.        Golden Age (Satya Yuga)
2.        Silver Age (Krita Yuga)
3.        Bronze Age (Dvapara Yuga)
4.        Iron Age (Kali Yuga)

Mythology and The Bible as History
In my opinion Mythology is history written by Satan, and the Bible is history written by God. Myths and legends, written or oral, are based on actual events of the past, not necessarily the recent past but dating back thousands to possibly millions of years ago.  Most mythology, like the history of man, is the retelling in a glorified manner of the lives and times of rich and powerful people. Man’s history is a record of the accounts of kings and conquerors, of famous and renowned people like the Pharaohs or Alexander or Caesar and other such empire builders and conquerors. Scribes in ancient times, and historians in modern times do not write of the little people; and frankly hardly anyone would care to read about a plain old farmer from India or China, but perceived movers and shakers such as Obama or Hitler hold people’s interest, and therefore much is written about them. However, most of that which is written about such people and their accomplishments is ‘fiction’ not the real truth. The Caesars of Rome may have been conquerors but they were wicked and evil men, official historians, especially state sanctioned ones have a tendency to downplay the failings and exaggerate the accomplishments of such men. Official history is revisionist history; almost everything reported in the mainstream media and recorded by officially approved historians is a glorified version of real events, not actual unbiased reporting. Revision of history was a major part of the narrative in Orwell’s 1984, not because he suspected that it could happen in the future but because he was aware that it was happening already in his time. Rich and powerful people as a rule are very corrupt and since they control the flow of information, they write the histories, and therefore their official histories are also corrupt.
Mythology is the history of the rich and powerful people of another age or ages that predate the present age, and therefore just as corrupt as that of modern day historians. Therefore mythology cannot to be trusted as a completely accurate account of past ages. However, it is almost certain that such people like Zeus and Poseidon of the Greeks, or Indra and Rama of Hindu mythology were in fact real people that existed in an earlier age, prior to Adam. Some of these stories may be glorified accounts of the ‘mighty men’, the ‘men of renown’, in other words of heroes that existed in the days prior to the flood of Noah, and which the Bible mentions in Genesis 6:4. Not all of the stories, however, can be dated to the days of Noah; most of the tales of the gods, such as the Titans and Olympians almost certainly cover a period of time far more ancient than the days since Adam was formed on the Earth. Most, if not all of the creatures that existed in those ages, whether they were called ‘gods’ or ‘demigods’ or ‘mortals’, were just as corrupt if not more so than the leaders of our day. They were power hungry megalomaniacs, like Zeus and the other Greek gods, in possession of advanced technologies with which they wreaked havoc not just on Earth but on a cosmic scale. Myths and legends are stories of the wars and conquests of these ancient creatures, and there is much that can be learnt about prehistory from these tales. We can retrace with a fair amount of accuracy the events that brought these ancient civilizations into existence; and the causes of their demise.

Advanced Technology in Prehistoric Ages
Mythological texts are filled with detailed descriptions of eyewitness accounts of cosmic battles fought with exotic weapons that we could not even begin to imagine until very recently. Authors such as Joseph Farrell and Zechariah Sitchin to name just two have written about ancient cosmic warfare fought with ‘Star Wars’ calibre weaponry. Joseph Farrell wrote a book titled ‘The Cosmic War’ that gives a good account of not only the ancient wars but the advanced knowledge of science that the ancients possessed to create technologies that we do not have till this very day. While I do not agree with many of the conclusions of these authors, their works are nevertheless a good source of information.
These ancient myths and legends of which the Hindus in particular have detailed written records are valuable sources from which we learn that more than once technologically advanced civilizations have arisen and have been destroyed, only to be replaced by an inferior civilization. By studying mythology and by comparing it to Biblical history we can arrive at a fairly accurate and detailed understanding of past ages going all the way back to the beginning of creation. Contrary to establishment indoctrinations that would have us believe that the most advanced civilizations and technologies lie ahead in the future, mythological history and the Bible teach that the further back we go in time, the more advanced the technology and the level of civilization of that age. Therefore the Golden Age of the Greeks or the Satya Yuga of the Hindus was the most technologically advanced age; succeeding ages have grown progressively inferior so that our own age is actually the least advanced, technologically primitive compared to the earliest age.
The possibility of the existence of technologically advanced ancient civilizations has held a great deal of fascination for occult organizations such as the Thule society and the Theosophists.  It is a well known fact that the Thules and the Theosophists in the 19th century, and their spiritual offspring, the Nazis in the 20th century went to great lengths to collect ancient writings and artifacts that may actually have proven useful in the creation of nuclear technologies, as well as antigravity propulsion technologies. Nazi scientists are the brains behind the space program, and the US space program and NASA owe their very existence to Nazi scientists. It is almost certain that the Nazis were not the inventors of these advanced technologies; they only rediscovered ancient knowledge that was occult or hidden for many thousands of years.
The theme of ancient civilizations and technologies is also well woven into the fabric of science – fiction. The so – called ‘Ancients’ play a prominent role in shows such as Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis where the older the technology the more advanced and sophisticated it proved to be. In Stargate Atlantis for example, the city of Atlantis itself is a flying city that is a technological marvel and is visually very striking, yet it is very ancient (click on link to see trailer for this show). It reminds me of the city of New Jerusalem coming down to Earth in the book of Revelation. What’s also interesting about these ancient technologies depicted in mythology and Sci-Fi is that they are almost always ethereal ‘energy’ technologies not material mechanical ones. Energy based research is all the rage in the military nowadays, so it would seem that we are rapidly moving ahead to the past, and the results will be just as devastating if not more so. Jesus did warn us that unless those days are cut short, no flesh would be saved...(Matthew 24:22)
In the movie Total Recall the story’s main plot line was the discovery of a million year old reactor underneath Mars that could generate an atmosphere for the whole planet. Both in mythology and fiction it is a common thread that advanced technologies bordering on magic once existed but have been lost to modern man. Even in the Star Wars movie, the famous opening scroll began with the words, Long Long Ago... so the Star Wars series are not futuristic movies; they are stories based on the past.
From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is also filled with examples of the use of advanced technology. For example fire and brimstone rained down upon Sodom and Gomorrah and reduced those cities to powder. Although many suggest nuclear weapons were employed, in all likelihood it was some sort of energy weaponry that destroyed the cities in that valley. The Dead Sea is apparently the site of these ancient cities, and there is no place like the Dead Sea on the entire planet. The Dead Sea is also called the ‘Salt Sea’ or the ‘Sea of Lot’; it is interesting that the Bible tells us that Lot’s wife became a pillar of salt at the time of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and the Dead Sea has a great deal more salinity than any oecan. On more than one occasion Jesus cloaked Himself, hid Himself from view in the midst of a crowd of people so that they could not see Him or touch Him. There was a flaming sword, some kind of energy weapon that turned every which way to guard the way to the tree of Life. Then there was the gateway or portal that looked like a ladder on which Jacob saw angels descending from heaven and ascending up to heaven. I gave the preceding examples to prove that there is much evidence to suggest the existence of technologically advanced civilizations upon the earth and beyond in the distant past, and perhaps not so distant past.
 Cosmic destruction through the Ages
As previously mentioned, in all mythologies it is an accepted fact that more than one age has preceded the present one. Even the Aztecs and Mayans believed that we are in the age of the fourth or fifth sun, that is, each previous age has ended with cosmic destruction, even of the sun itself. Here’s a brief overview of the Aztec creation beliefs: “The story of creation, according to the Aztecs, is actually a story of birth, death, and rebirth.  When the world is destroyed, it's born again through the sacrifice of one of the gods, and so through the birth of a new sun.  So you'll often hear of the legend of the five suns - the five births of the world.  Five suns, and so five different worlds, have existed.  When the story is told, the order of the worlds is sometimes different, sometimes there are even less than five suns, but the general idea remains the same.”
Although the idea of past AGES is central to all mythologies, it is a subject that is either ignored or misunderstood by mainstream Christianity. Biblical scholars either hold to a young Earth / young Universe theory or do not have a clearly defined view of the timeline of creation. However the concept of Ages is not foreign to the Bible, for example we read in Colossians 1:26, ... the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints... Generations in this scripture would refer to the generations of man, of Adam, but Ages would refer to periods of time that predate Adam. The Bible does not teach that creation begins with modern man or that the current age is the beginning of time but before I get to that let me define the word Age as it is used in the New Testament. The word Age is a translation of the Greek word, EON as in eons of time indicating a period of time of unknown length. This word however also means WORLD, so in some places it is translated Age and in others such as Matthew 24:3 it is translated World. The Hindu word for age, ‘Yuga’ too means not just Age but also means ‘World’.
There is another Greek word COSMOS that is also translated world but Cosmos refers to planetary and heavenly bodies, such as the Earth, Sun, Moon, and stars whereas Eon means world as in the SYSTEM that governs life on the planet. Satan is called god of this world, which means that he is the god of the World systems, Economic systems, Information systems, Religious systems, Social systems and such. However Satan is not god of the Cosmos, the Earth and the heavens do not belong to him, they belong to the LORD God.
So when the Bible makes reference to Eons, it is not just referring to the ages of time but also to the worlds that exist during that period of time. End of an age would also mean the end of that world, not necessarily of the Cosmos but the world system that was prevalent in that age. As a rule the end of an eon, the end of an age or world also brought about a great deal of cosmic destruction with it, wiping out not just the buildings of the civilization but also the people that inhabited that civilization. Thus we find Lost Cities in the jungles of Central and South America, in Africa, in Asia and all over the world that were painstakingly built but abandoned for no apparent reason. When the age during which these cities were built came to a catastrophic close, most if not all of the people were destroyed. What other reason can there be for people to just abandon fully functional cities all over the planet? The earth has been completely devastated at least twice by a global flood which would have swept the people away while the ancient cities built of stone would have survived, which is exactly the evidence of archaeology and geology all over the planet.
In Matthew 24:3 the disciples asked Jesus about the signs that would precede his coming, and of the end of the world. The end of the world would refer to the end of the age as well. The question could be rephrased as what will be the signs of the end of the age, and of the world? The signs that Jesus gave in Matthew chapters 24 and 25, and the book of Revelation clearly suggest a great deal of cosmic destruction will accompany the end of this age and of the world as we presently know it including loss of life on an unprecedented scale but it will not be the end of the Earth. Now Satan studies the Bible as well, and knowing that destruction on a cosmic scale is coming, he has created an alternate scenario to explain such catastrophes, telling his disciples that we are moving into the Age of Aquarius and those who are not enlightened enough, those who are not ready to evolve must be culled. Of course he does not want anyone to believe that the coming global catastrophes, economic or so – called natural disasters are judgments from God not an evolutionary cycle.

The Stretching Forth of the Heavens (Expansion of the Universe)
A valid question that comes to mind is why has there been more than one age that has ended in global, perhaps cosmic catastrophes? How does this fit in with the Biblical doctrines of complete foreknowledge, and the Omniscience and Omnipotence of God the Creator of all things. To understand the history of past ages, it becomes imperative to understand the origins of evil and its growth and maturity over long periods of time. The Bible and mythology both have a common claim that creation begins with perfection symbolised by the creation of a perfect Heaven and a perfect Earth in the beginning. Though some Bible translations erroneously lump the creation of the heavens, meaning all of the cosmic bodies, at the very beginning of creation; the Bible actually teaches that creation began with only THE HEAVEN (as the abode of God) and THE EARTH. Even in the first chapter of Genesis, the other heavenly bodies such as the Sun, Moon and stars were not made simultaneously with The Heaven and The Earth. The book of Revelation records the beginning of the creation of the new Universe, the new heavens and the new Earth, that Universe too begins with just The Heaven (New Jerusalem) and the new Earth, the rest of the heavens will come later. In science and in mythology as well as the Bible, the idea of STRETCHING, of EXPANSION of the Universe is a major theme. For example we read in the book of the prophet Isaiah:
Isaiah 42:5 Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out... This scripture among many others in the Bible clearly conveys the idea of expansion, of stretching of the heavens like a balloon as it gets filled with air. The space required to contain the physical Universe was not created in the beginning but stretched like a womb as the heavens grew.

The stretching of the heavens is also theorised by cosmologists that study the origins of the Universe; their observations lead them to believe that the Universe did not come about fully formed as we presently see it but it happened over a long period of time. “The Big Bang is not an explosion of matter moving outward to fill an empty universe. Instead, space itself expands with time everywhere and increases the physical distance between two comoving points”.
The Hindus philosophy of the ‘Golden Womb’ in which the Universe was birthed and grew parallels the Biblical doctrine of the expansion or stretching of the heavens, and the scientific observation of the expansion of space. “Hiranyagarbha (literally the 'golden fetus' or 'golden womb', poetically rendered 'universal germ') is the source of the creation of the Universe or the manifested cosmos in Hindu philosophy, it finds mention in one hymn of the Rigveda (RV 10.121), known as the Hiranyagarbha sukta and presents an important glimpse of the emerging monism, or even monotheism, in the later Vedic period, along with the Nasadiya sukta suggesting a single creator deity predating all other gods (verse 8: yó devév ádhi devá éka âsīt, Griffith: "He is the God of gods, and none beside him."), in the hymn identified as Prajapati.”
The preceding quote from the Rigveda (an important Hindu religious / philosophical text) makes note of the beginning and growth of the Universe, of Matter, and compares it to a fetus in a womb. As a fetus begins as a single cell from which it grows and makes the womb expand, so too did the Universe begin as a Seed from which it has grown over the ages. The scientific theory of the Singularity that precedes the expansion of the Universe is actually a variation of the Golden Womb philosophy, confirming the Biblical adage that there is nothing new under the sun, that which has been will be again. So the promulgation of ancient philosophies as scientific theories is not really anything new. What is also interesting in the above quote from the Rigveda is that the Hindu religion did not begin as a polytheistic religion; as a matter of fact all mythologies acknowledge a Supreme Creator, who alone is the source or fountain of all creation. Compare the Rigveda quote: "He is the God of gods, and none beside him.", to Psalm 136:2 O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever. So it seems that once was a common monotheistic belief in all peoples of all cultures. Polytheism was born with Lucifer who wanted to be ‘Like the Most High’; and polytheism degenerated into pantheism in the course of time; in India today monotheism is nowhere to be found, whereas worship of creatures as opposed to The Creator can be seen everywhere.
The table below compares three accounts of Origins and notes the similarities between them. I am not endorsing the Big bang theory as an explanation for the origin of the Universe because it does not really answer the question of the CAUSE of creation, which we know is God. Few scientists acknowledge God the Creator, even though they observe His handiwork every day. However, not all of the observations of science are incorrect, and as we can glean much truth from mythologies, science too can help confirm the truth of the Biblical account of creation.

Genesis 1:1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. The Biblical creation of the physical Universe begins with just two cosmic bodies, The Heaven and The Earth not the entire Universe at once.
The general opinion respecting Dyaus (Heaven) and Prithivi (Earth) is that they are amongst the most ancient of the Aryan deities. Mythology being a distorted version of reality, it is not surprising that Hindu texts record that The Heaven and the Earth are the oldest of all creation.
Big Bang article from Wikipedia: “As used by cosmologists, the term Big Bang generally refers to the idea that the Universe has expanded from a primordial hot and dense initial condition at some finite time in the past (best available measurements in 2009 suggest that the initial conditions occurred around 13.3 to 13.9 billion years ago)...”

From the Golden Age to the Silver Age
The Greeks creation myths too acknowledge that Heaven (Uranus) and Earth (Gaia) are the oldest of the deities from which all other creation sprang. So the observation of the growth, the expansion of the Universe much as a womb expands as the baby grows is very much a Biblical doctrine, such accounts are also found in mythology and theorised by science. As mentioned earlier in this article, mythology is history written by Satan, and therefore distorted, so it is no wonder that mythological accounts of creation portray created things such as the Heaven and the Earth as deities. It is obviously not in Satan’s best interest to credit Jehovah, the Self Existent, The Great I Am as the Creator of all things. I compared the above accounts to Biblical history to show that all information is based on some truth, nothing is pure fiction, just the figment of someone’s imagination; not even Satan’s! Thus there is some truth in the creation accounts of mythologies, and the theories of science, even quantum theories that I will discuss at some later date.
Not only has the Earth changed with the passage of the ages, so too has the Universe. It began with the Heaven and the Earth, and in the course of time other heavenly bodies were added as God saw fit. The heavens were stretched forth, the Universe expanded. How long did it take for the heavens to be stretched forth, for the Universe to expand to its present dimensions only God knows but it stand to reason that it must have taken a very long time, possibly billions of years as science theorises. The so – called primordial age therefore was not an age of chaos but rather of perfection, the Golden Age. The beginning of this joy filled, perfect creation is recorded in the book of Job in chapter 38. In this chapter, The LORD God Himself asked Job a series of questions, one of which harkened back to the time of the laying of the foundations of the Earth.
Job, chapter 38, verses 4-7, God asked Job the question: Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? And he ends by asking Job ... When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

As recorded in the above scripture, the time of the Beginning was a time of joy because it was a time of perfection not a time of chaos, order did not arise out of chaos as mythology claims and science theorises, the chaos came later which led to the culmination of The Golden Age and the beginning of the Silver Age.
We understand that all things were created by The Self – Existent Jehovah God but where did Satan and these other gods of mythology come from? If everything was perfect and golden in the beginning, when and how did evil arise and darkness cast its dark shadow like the shadow of Sauron in the Lord of the Rings? The origin of evil and its maturity over the ages is the real story of mythology. Like a natural born person does not become mature overnight, neither did evil reach maturity immediately after it was first discovered in the anointed cherub (Lucifer) at the end of The Golden Age. It was the birth of evil that brought that age to a close, and gave rise to an inferior age, termed The Silver Age by the Greeks. The end of the Golden Age was not necessarily a catastrophic one but rather a gradual decline as Lucifer grew more and more wicked like ‘Dorian Gray’ and made plans to ascend into Heaven to attempt to dethrone God his Creator, and the Creator of all things.

  1. Thank you very much for the well written blog Paul. You are a wonderful communicator... I pray that Yahweh will continue to share truth through your ministry.
Question: It may be helpful to outline the "ages" in reference to the Mazzaroth or Zodiac. Is the end of Pisces the actual end of an eon or the Greek Suntelia Aion? Thanks again!
